Recap

Series Futsal Victoria premiers FC Richmond has been put on notice, going down to Stirling FC 3-0 in a hard-fought affair at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

In a physical match, scores were locked at nil-all for all of the first half until Stirling broke the deadlock with a goal to Marianna Tabain early in the second half.

Tabain scored again to secure the win, despite a five-foul scare for Stirling. Richmond had its chance to peg one back from the spot with four minutes remaining, but the ball bounced off the post, keeping Richmond scoreless.

Stirling finished its day with two wins from two games – the perfect way to kick off its 2017 Series Futsal Australia program.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Marianna Tabain
