Pascoe Vale FC has won its first match of the 2017 Series Futsal Australia tournament, defeating arch-rival Fitzroy FC 4-1 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Pascoe Vale opened up with two unanswered first half goals to Jess Dillon and Jess Au.
Rachael Jessica pegged one goal back for Fitzroy early in the second half, but two more goals to Chloe Drinoczky and another for Au was enough to see Pascoe Vale home in a convincing display.
Pascoe Vale keeper Molly Boorman was awarded the player of the match after an outstanding performance between the sticks.
