Pascoe Vale is out of Series Futsal Australia, despite only losing one game, after being held to its second draw in as many games against Claremont Cambio Cumbre.

Cumbre raced to a 3-0 lead in the battle of the ex-champions, and looked in complete control as the teams headed into the half-time huddle.

The Victorian champions showed guts and determination, scoring three goals in the second half in an attempt to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

But they fell just short as time was their biggest enemy; ultimately the draw stung like a defeat for both teams, as it spelt the end for Pascoe Vale, while Cumbre needed everything out of their control to go their way for them to stay alive in the ‘group of death’.
