Recap

Hume has secured its second win of the competition with a last gasp goal that has left Balwyn at the bottom of Group B.

The goal from Ernie Simsek, scored with three seconds left on the clock, proved to be the difference between the two evenly matched sides.

Balwyn scored early in the first half, before Hume pegged them back to take a 2-1 lead into the halftime break.

The end of the game was marred with controversy, when Balwyn keeper Felipe Bley brought down Simsek as he was through on goal, only to get away with just a yellow card.

The Hume players and manager were outraged, but man of the match Simsek managed to keep his head as merely seconds later the ball fell to his feet and he was able to find the top corner with a powerful finish.

The win leaves Hume on top of Group B after two games.

Man of the match: Ernie Simsek (Hume FC)
