Cambio Cumbre has created history, becoming the first West Australian team to win the prestigious Futsal Oz Australian Futsal League Cup at the Mount Evelyn Futsal Stadium.

Cambio Cumbre, led by captain Nestor Fonseca, secured a 4-1 win over perennial runners-up Vic Vipers FC, now having lost three FAFL Cup finals in a row.

Fonseca won the man of the match in the final and the player of the tournament.

The trophy was the first major crown the team had won after Fonseca created the team out of the remains of the South Fremantle club.

The 2015 FAFL was the first time that the popular Cup had been held twice in one calendar year, aligning with the other state’s 21 round competitions.

The next FAFL will again be held at the Mount Evelyn stadium in April 2016.
