The King – Fernando de Moraes – and The Heartbreaker – Tomislav Grgic have taken out the Play of Round 7 and 8 respectively.
In a double-header round, de Moraes was at his all-conquering best for Fitzroy FC, scoring a great individual goal against Balwyn FC. He beat almost all of the Balwyn players on his own, eventually scoring to guide Fitzroy to a crucial victory.
On Sunday afternoon, Metropolitan FC and Pascoe Vale FC played out a classic match with the game being drawn in the final 10 seconds thanks to a late goal from Tomislav ‘The Heartbreaker’ Grgic.
Pascoe Vale would eventually go on to record victory in the penalty shoot-out, but it was Grgic’s late goal that was awarded the Play of Round 8.
