VIC: Metropolitan FC reveals new deal with Sports Portal and Legea

Famous sportswear brand Legea will return to the Series Futsal arena for the first time in over five years after striking a new partnership with the Metropolitan Futsal Club.

The club will sport two new uniforms, with the blue representing its ‘home’ colours and the ‘white’ featured for its away matches.

Each team member also has their own training gear, pre-game tracksuit and polo shirt, adding to the continued professionalism of the Series Futsal Victoria league and its clubs.

Metropolitan will debut its new strip tonight when it takes on the in-form competition leaders FC Carlton Heart at 8pm.

Long-time Metropolitan player Dino Redzepovic says that he is excited by the new deal with Legea and the company’s Australian distributor Sports Portal.

“This is a great new partnership for the Metropolitan Futsal Club,” said Redzeponvic.

“Our new uniforms look outstanding and I would say that we are now one of the best looking and most professional clubs in the league.

“Alongside our loyal partners Loan Link, Complete Choice Home Loans and Story Coffee & Foodstore, we feel that we are now ready to kickstart a new chapter in our club’s history.

“We’ve proven so far this season that we are very competitive. Now we need to turn that into more wins.”

Adding to the significance of the evening is a milestone achievement for Liam Digby. The club’s goal keeper will rack up his 150th Series Futsal Victoria appearance this evening.

Metropolitan FC currently sits seventh on the Series Futsal Victoria ladder with two wins from the nine matches. The club’s position may have been better, though, having drawn four matches but losing all of them in penalty shoot-outs.
