FOZ: Melbourne Bound

The 4th junior national championship is set and clubs from all over Australia are preparing their descent into Melbourne.

Founder and CEO Peter Parthimos today referred to the 2018 Futsal Oz Junior nationals as FOz4, the new reference will count the number of junior nationals since Futsal Oz entered the junior nationals futsal market.

“We believe Futsal Oz has made a significant impact in the Australian sporting market and we have a lot in store for the next 5 years”.

The 4th nationals will be played over two Futsal Oz stadiums. The famous Brunswick Futsal Stadium who once had Arnold Schwarzenegger visit, will be home to the under 8’s and under 10’s whilst the new and larger Thomastown Futsal Stadium will see the under 12’s, 14’s, 16’s and Youth (21’s).

The two stadiums are only 25 minutes a part.

Clubs from every state will be flying into Melbourne in the new year with the first futsal ball kicked on Friday, January 5. The Championships will run from Friday 5th to Tuesday 9th of January in 2018.

Clubs from VIC, NSW, QLD, SA, WA, ACT and Tasmania will be treated to the high level, well organised competition in some of the world’s best futsal facilities.

“I love this time of year” said Parthimos. “It is the end and a start, like a ring, you do a full circle, it is were the two ends meet and you can always start fresh, a new year and a chance to showcase what you have learnt along the way. I just love that.”

“Our Junior Nationals are on the right track and going forward. We would love to link them with the pathways our senior conferences enjoy. Futsal is so entertaining and we are lucky enough to have some of the most passionate people involved. It has definitely come a long way and I have no doubt it will just continue getting better”.
