AMA – Z.Dupont 2 & M.Bagang
FAW – L.Abdullatif 2, A.Cerne & L.Lemmo

Our first game in the Youth league saw two strong sides go head to head as Melbourne Amazons faced Fawkner. A tight first half saw Fawkner get the only goal of the half as Laila Abdullatif finished her one on one chance to open the scoring and have her side leading at the break.

Early in the second half the Amazons would equalise through Mariella Bagang who had the easiest of finished walking the ball into the net to level the scores. Fawkner would regain the lead as Alana Cerne rounded the keeper and converted to put her side 2-1 ahead. Abdullatif then got her second of the contest finishing from around ten meters to open up a two goal cushion. Amazons continued to battle though and got a goal back through Zoe Dupont who had her side within a goal once again, however Fawkner would again go two goals ahead as a save by the Amazons keeper deflected out to Liana Lemmo who picked out an empty net from near on half way to all but seal the win. Dupont then got her second of the game to set up a grand stand finish but the Amazons would fall just short seeing Fawkner take home the points.
