Title contenders FC Balwyn is not pressing the panic button after a disappointing start to its 2016/17 Series Futsal Victoria campaign.

After finishing second in last season’s premiership, Balwyn suffered a tight first round loss to Foz Cup rivals Hume FC in the opening round, followed by a thumping defeat to reigning champions Pascoe Vale FC last Sunday.

Despite the winless start, manager Gabriel Zeballos says that there is no concerns in his camp.

“We’re not pressing the panic buttons. It’s not an ideal start, but our preparation has been excellent – the results just have not been there,” Zeballos told SeriesFutsal.com.

“We’ve been training two days a week and we believe that we have the players and the systems to again finish top three.”

Balwyn currently sit at the bottom of the table, alongside Ashburton FC and Metropolitan FC, all of whom have failed to register a win from its opening two games.

Series Futsal Victoria takes a one week break this week, with the prestigious Series Futsal Australia Cup taking place at the WA State Futsal Centre, in Bibra Lake, south of Fremantle, on October 7-9.
