Balwyn play maker Michele Salvi will be out for at least a week after bruising his right toe in an incident with Metropolitan’s goal keeper last Sunday at Thomastown.

Salvi has played a pivotal role in Balwyn’s season so far – including an outstanding performance in the Series Futsal Australia tournament.

His presence on the court will be missed, with Balwyn taking on an in-form Brunswick team at 3pm this Sunday.

Team manager Gabriel Zeballos says that the injury has ruled him out for this week, at a minimum.

“Towards the end of the first half, the came out and keep cleaned him up,” Zeballos told SeriesFutsal.com.

“He has a badly bruised toe on his right foot. He didn’t do any training this week and he will be off the court for this week, at the very least.

“He has been in fantastic form, and before Daniel (Cappellaro) stole the show with three goals, Salvi was the best on ground before his injury.

“The up side to this all is that Matteo Rocca is available for selection this weekend which is a massive plus for us.”
