Three Series Futsal teams came together to help promote the great game of futsal this morning.
Popular Network Seven breakfast program Sunrise popped into the famous Brunswick Futsal Oz Stadium, broadcasting all of its weather updates live to a national audience.
Pascoe Vale FC, Fitzroy FC and FC Carlton brought its best players from their mens, women and juniors squads to showcase some fancy futsal for Seven weather man ‘Sam Mac’ and the Sunrise crew.
FC Balwyn star and Futsal Oz staff member Daniel Cappellaro was featured during the broadcast, while former Melbourne Victory and Socceroos legend Archie Thompson dropped by to say hello.
Futsal Oz and Series Futsal CEO Peter Parthimos was thrilled to have the nation’s morning eyes on futsal.
“It was great to have Sam and the Sunrise crew here at our famous Brunswick stadium this morning,” Parthimos told SeriesFutsal.com.
“It was great to have some of our best elite futsal players – men and women – come down, and we also had a heap of juniors in the stadium as well.
“The atmosphere was terrific and the Sunrise guys were completely professional.
“And what a surprise to have the legend Archie Thompson here too. It has been a great morning for Futsal Oz, Series Futsal and the sport in general.”
The next round of Series Futsal Victoria will be held at the Thomastown Futsal Oz Stadium, with the first game kicking off at 6:30pm AEDT.
