Former Australian futsal international Lachlan Wright and Cambio Cumbre hero Samim Rohani have been recruited by Pascoe Vale FC ahead of its crucial match against Brunswick this Friday.

After a spate of injuries and suspensions, Pascoe Vale has bolstered its line-up with Wright and Rohani in a one-off deal.

Wright is Australia’s most-capped futsal player, having played in two FIFA Futsal World Cups for his country.

Rohani has been part of West Australian club Cambrio Cumbre’s past

Victory for Pascoe Vale all but wraps up the club’s record-breaking 10th Series Futsal crown, and captain Andre Caro says that it’s great to have two star recruits for his team.

“Samim is one of the strongest and quickest players in Australia,” Caro told SeriesFutsal.com.

“Not many players have won three Series Futsal Australia titles. He played a crucial role in all of their wins, so to have him on our side is awesome.

“It is always a pleasure to share the court with Lachy. We’ve played a tournament together in America last year and he makes playing futsal look easy.”

Pascoe Vale continues to lead the competition, and seem destined for victory, however, they will not be doing it with three key players. Joao da Silva has left the country on vaction, while, Baptiste Piq (injury) and Lucas Vas (suspension) are also notable outs.
