Muhammed Temel has confirmed his Series Futsal future … and he is not going anywhere.

After almost a month of rumour and sideline chat, the young star has announced that he will stay with the Hume Futsal Club for the next season.

He has previously stated publicly that he was frustrated with the lack of training that Hume was undertaking, however, the club has now begun a training schedule, plus Temel has joined another Victorian club (not playing Series Futsal) to improve his game.

“I’ve decided to stay because now that I have been training with another Victorian club, I’m satisfied with the training I get,” he told SeriesFutsal.com.

“And with Hume starting to train regularly as well, I’m settled with my future.”

Confirmation that Temel will remain at Hume will come as a relief for the club after it was confirmed that star striker Ubedye Cicek has left the team, bound for champion team Pascoe Vale FC.

Temel is pleased for his friend Cicek, but admits it is a blow for Hume.

“To me Ubeyde is my brother, I respect his decisions, but yes it was a blow for us and especially me, because he was one that I enjoyed playing with,” Temel said.

“We have won many trophies together and we have a strong bond.”

Despite some of the team changes, Temel says that Hume can win the next Series Futsal title, but only if it sharpens its act.

“If we can learn to hold on to our wins and keep our momentum going, we could win the next Series Futsal premiership,” he said.

“But we have to play every game like we play against Pascoe Vale. We need to show that intensity.”
