Ambitious State League Championship club Moreland FC has continued its off-season recruiting, securing the services of Matthew Vragovski to the list.

Vragovski, one of the stars of Brunswick’s Series Futsal squad, has elected to follow his high-profile team-mate Adam Cooper to Moreland, and the club hasn’t stopped its recruitment drive yet, according to team manager Derren ‘Dee Man’ Saban.

“We want to mirror what Carlton did and secure promotion as early as we can,” Saban told SeriesFutsal.com.

“Moreland had a stand out season three years ago in the Series Futsal and we want to mirror that.

“People might get the wrong idea, but I established this club five years ago with captain Taner Korkmaz. We have seen some very big highs and so very bad lows.

“Our goal now is that we want to be a consistent Series Futsal team.”

Saban says that with the new recruits comes extra pressure, but he feels that his squad will be able to deal with it and prosper.

“Pressure comes with it, we have large quality in our team and with the addition of Vragovski and Cooper is going to pile a tone of pressure on us,” he said.

“We need to manage that pressure focus on each game, one week at a time and I think our game will develop as every week we will be learning more and getting better.”
