The return of ‘The King’ – Fernando de Moraes – was one of the stand outs of a highly-entertaining opening round of Series Futsal Victoria last Friday night.

De Moraes is known as ‘The King’ thanks to his brilliant skill – on and off the court.

But is he the greatest player to have ever graced the Series Futsal courts?

The term ‘greatest’ can be debated for years, but there are some key statistics that can give an indication of who is up there in the ‘best of the best’ category.

Leading the charge is Pascoe Vale’s captain Andre Caro. Having secured eight top-end awards, Caro has the most accolades of any Series Futsal player.

However, he is only one award ahead of de Moraes, and with Caro currently on an overseas vacation and de Moraes back on the court at his dominating best, ‘The King’ might just be about to reclaim his throne.
