In its findings, the commission made a special note of spectators involving themselves in the match. See below for commission’s comments;

“The commission wants to send a clear message and came down hardest on players/spectators who decided to leave the safety of the grandstand and enter the field of play,” said the message.

“This would be unacceptable at any organised sport and we can not see why anyone would assume it is OK at the top level of Futsal in Victoria.

“There are referees and officials who are responsible for the match and they should be allowed to do their job.

“Spectators are in no way allowed onto the playing area and will be seen as trespassers and asked to leave the stadium for here forth.”
