Hampton Street Futsal Club (1st) 6-8 (2nd) Moreland Futsal Club

HAM – M. Lettini 3, T. Topali 2, D. Grecea
MOR – A. Cooper 4, S. Sefil 2, B. Sahin, X. Torres

In the huge top of the table clash between Hampton Street and Moreland tensions where at a high from the opening minutes with Moreland busting out of the gates. Four goals to one in the opening five minutes including an early hat-trick from superstar Adam Cooper. From there the game slowed down with the three goal buffer giving confidence to the Moreland team. Moreland carried their form into the second half putting goals past the Hampton street defence with ease. Hampton street showed great fight though as they managed to claw back some goals late in the game with Michael Lettini showing some class late claiming three second half goals. The fight proved too little too late though as Moreland ran out winners to take top spot on the table.

Man of the Match: Adam Cooper (Moreland FC)

Brimbank Futsal Club (6th) 4-8 (4th) Mickleham Futsal Club

BRI – Z. Hussaeni 2, S. Haidari, F. Ahmadi
MIC – M. Petrovic 3, H. Razbocan 3, S. Radman, A.Boras

Brimbank and Mickleham are only seperated by three positions on the table but the fact is that there is a big disparity between the teams with Mickleham starting their season with three wins and Brimbank only managing the one. This gap was reflected through the game as Mickleham put their foot down to get a big win over a disappointing Brimbank side. The game was one sided from the start with a first half clinic being put on by Mickleham. As the first half ended things didn’t get any better for Brimbank as a second half hat-trick from Mario Petrovic put an end to Brimbank’s hopes.

Man of the Match: Mario Petrovic (Mickleham FC)

Monash Futsal Club (7th) 4-2 (8th) Mcleod Futsal Club

MON – A. Phuttahrat 2, J. Bernard, H. Nguyen
MCL – H. Shekari, F. Faridian

Monash have recorded a second win over Mcleod in the bottom of the table clash. The game was hotly contested from the opening minutes with both teams as early front runners for relegation both had a point to prove. That point was proved more through defence than attack though as the opening half ended with neither team managing a score. A nil all half time scores had both teams on edge as the stakes where raised. The second half saw a much more open scoring game as Monash began to take control. Skipper James Bernard blasted home a goal through a deflection to give his team the lead. Mcleod responded quickly to equalise. Again it was Monash who looked in the ascendancy as they put two quick goals past the Mcleod team leaving Mcleod in an awkward situation. Mcleod managed another goal but it proved too little too late as Monash ran out winners.

Man of the Match: Apichart Phuttahrat (Monash FC)

Ashburton Futsal Club (5th) 6-3 (3rd) Collingwood Futsal Club

ASH – R. Bahmani 4, T. Shafaei, A. Zahiri
COL – A. Meibusch 2, E. Daiby

Ashburton have found a way to a second win for the season as they battled hard to overcome Collingwood. The game was tight from the first minute as both teams played with all their heart. Ashburton put the first goal away and consolidated their lead with a second straight after. The game made its way back to even as Collingwood put another away before the end of the first half. Again it was Ashburton who did most of the running early in the second half extending their lead to two goals. Collingwood responded quickly this time though as they managed to put two quick goals into the back of the net to find themselves even. Ashburton found its saviour though as target Rasoul Bahmani used his sheer size to monster his opponents scoring two goals and assisting one. This burst proved too much for Collingwood who fell down by three goals.

Man of the Match: Rasoul Bahmani (Ashburton FC)
