SPT Football and Mitre have secured a major multi-season agreement with the Balwyn Futsal Club.
The emerging Series Futsal club revealed its striking, brand-new Mitre home (blue) and away (white) kits in a photo and video shoot this week.
The team will give the new kits their debut tomorrow night against CF Brunswick at 8pm tomorrow night.
Adding to the new sponsorship deal, Balwyn has unveiled a new, modern logo to add to its striking new team outfits.
SPT Football owner Gerrard Woods says that he is looking forward to the new deal with Balwyn.
“SPT Football is excited about its new partnership with FC Balwyn and Series Futsal Victoria,” said Gerrard Woods.
“Series Futsal is a sport that we’ve been keeping a close eye on over the past few years. The level of professionalism has really stepped up and the quality of players is at an all-time high.
“SPT Football believes that Series Futsal has huge potential and we’re proud to be a part of it with Balwyn – a club on the rise.
“Balwyn has proved to be a leading contender on the national stage and SPT Football plans to make this association successful for both parties.”
Series Futsal Founder and CEO Peter Parthimos is rapt to have a Mitre use Series Futsal as a platform to boost its brand recognition.
“As a young kid playing soccer, I grew up with Mitre. In my day, it was one of the coolest football brands there was,” Parthimos said.
“It’s fantastic that Mitre is now re-emerging in the football and futsal market, and we are pleased to see the company use Series Futsal as one of its launchpads.”
Balwyn captain Michele Goita, who performed one of his trademark scissor kicks during the video shoot to launch the partnership (see below), says that …
“This partnership is a great step up towards a more professional environment for both our team and Series Futsal,” Giotta told SeriesFutsal.com.
“I personally see it as a reward for the efforts and committment that everyone at Balwyn has shown. It shows that people from outside appreciate what we are trying to do and I hope things like this will keep happening for us and for the rest of teams that believes in this great league.
“And I love the new kits. All the garments we will wear are quality design and material. Obviously we love the blue because it reminds people our Italian background.
“Also, Mitre is a brand that deserve a chance to get into the futsal world. We are aiming to make them proud.”
