Metropolitan FC stalwart Dino Redzepovic will become the third person in Series Futsal Victoria history to rack up 300 games in his club’s clash against the Western Wolves this evening.

Redzepovic joins his brother Alija and Metro team-mate Tomislav Grgic as the only players to reach the magic 300 games mark.

Having played the majority of his career with Metropolitan, Redzepovic says that he is honoured to start his 300th game.

“I feel very privileged to reach such a milestone,” Redzepovic told SeriesFutsal.com.

“I join two legends in Alija and Tomo. These are two players I admire so much and have learnt plenty from. I consider them both as my big brothers.”

Redzepovic also said that sharing the court with great players is a highlight, but his greatest highlight was off the court …

“Playing wise, it would have to be sharing the court and playing alongside some fantastic players over the years,” he said.

“But my favourite memory is actually off the field because I met my wife at Futsal Oz Brunswick.”

Redzepovic and his Metro team-mates face a crucial match against the Wolves at 10:10pm this evening in what is shaping up as a battle to survive instant relegation.

Also celebrating a milestone match this evening is Ernie Simsek, who caulks up 250 games. The FC Carlton player is one of the most dynamic and passionate players in the league, and has been instrumental in Carlton’s emergence as a title force.
