F.C. Carlton Heart have swept past Fitzroy Futsal Club to go one step closer to winning their second consecutive title.
Defending Series Futsal Victoria champions Carlton Heart have gone one step closer to defending their crown with a win over Fitzroy Futsal Club.
Cosimo Russo scored an early goal for Fitzroy to give them an early lead.
Carlton were not disheartened though, and came back with a reply of two impressive team goals.
Peter Tamburrino was immense for Carlton stopping a barrage of Fitzroy’s shots throughout the half, as Carlton turned things around and went into the half-time break 3-2 up.
Carlton scored the first goal of the second half, giving them a two goal buffer.
Fitzroy could not find a way back into the game from that point on, with their defence slowly leaking more goals.
Carlton players ran riot in the final stages of the game, putting a grand total of eight goals past their rivals, half of which were scored by the ever-growing Abdirahman Ahmed.

Brunswick Futsal Club have held off a resurgent Hume Futsal Club to win and continue their great run of form.
Brunswick have staved off a late Hume resistance to continue their great run of form with a win.
The first half was a tight one with both sides going toe to toe, matching each other at every turn and eventually going into the half-time break tied at three goals a piece.
Brunswick took the upper hand in the second half, finding themselves 5-3 up midway through the half.
Hume surged to find two goals that levelled the scoring, but Brunswick put their foot back on the peddle and reopened their three goal buffer.
Hume found what seemed to be another lease of life late in the half to get within one goal of Brunswick.
However, the Black Army were unable to penetrate the Chief’s defence again to find an equalising goal, and Brunswick walked away with the three points.

Western Wolves Futsal Club have remained in the title race with a win over Moreland Futsal Club, despite a slow start.
Western Wolves have shrugged off a slow start to beat Moreland and ensure the title race is run until the final round of the season.
Moreland got out to a deserved two-nil lead in the first half, courtesy of goals from Matthew Vragovski and Jason Barrientos.
The Wolves got one back before the half-time break, and that goal proved to be the catalyst for a second half surge that saw them put eight goals past Moreland.
It was ultimately a comfortable win for the Wolves – as for Moreland, the battle to avoid relegation will go down to the last day of the season.

Balwyn Futsal Club have shown guts to hold off Pascoe Vale Futsal Club and claim a crucial win that sees them move off the automatic relegation spot on goal-difference with just one game to play. It could not be any closer.
Balwyn have given their survival hopes a massive boost with a resilient win over Pascoe Vale.
Balwyn got off to a flyer with two quick goals, before Pascoe Vale scored one of their own.
The Blues scored a third midway through the half to reopen their two goal buffer, but Pascoe Vale dragged themselves back into the game with two goals before the half-time break to level the scores.
The two sides found themselves locked at four goals apiece going into the final stages of the game, and just as it looked like the game was going to penalties, Balwyn came up with a crucial winner that takes them up to seventh and out of the automatic relegation spot on goal-difference.
