Fitzroy have cruised to a much-need win against a poor Balwyn side that did not show m
uch intent from the first whistle.
The Tigers flew out of the blocks, racing out to a 3-1 lead by the halfway point of the first half, before scoring another two to take a commanding lead into the half-time break.
Fitzroy continued to control the game in the second half, with two goals from Corey Sewell and then Harry Robotis sealing the three points for Fitzroy.

A fast start from Pascoe Vale has helped them get their season back on track with victory over Brunswick.
Pascoe Vale raced out to a 5-1 lead by half-time, putting themselves in prime position heading into the second period.
This lead proved to be crucial as Brunswick showed signs of mounting a come-back after the interval with goals from Joshua Pulvarenti and Andrea Zaccone giving them a sniff of hope.
But Pascoe Vale rapidly put the game to bed with two second half goals from their captain Andre Caro, building on his two from the first half, guiding the Lions to a victory that sees them temporarily close the gap from Carlton to just three points.

Western Wolves FC 9-1 Metropolitan FC

Western Wolves have shaken off a slow start to crush Metropolitan and temporarily move up to third place on the table.
Metro scored the first goal of the game inside the first two minutes to stun the Wolves, but Omar Chendeb’s team responded with two goals that turned the game in their favour.
With the score at 2-1, a melee broke out between the two teams after an altercation between Metro keeper Cem Bicer and Wolves anchor Tiema Coulibaly, with those two players ultimately receiving their marching orders after a lengthy conversation between the two referees and the third official.
The Wolves took time to regain their mojo after the sendings off, but they were able to add one more goal before the half-time break to give themselves some breathing room.
Lokman Ramadan dominated Metro in the second half, scoring twice like he did in the first half as the Wolves marched to a 9-1 victory.
Second-gamer Michael Ayayi also impressed, coming off the bench to score two goals, as did Bruno Santos with his mesmerising skill and knack for entertaining the crowd.

Carlton have romped to an 8-1 win against Hume to regain their six point advantage at the top of the table
The Heart were convincing from the first whistle with a goal in the first ninety seconds of the game, before adding another two before the half-time break to leave themselves in pole position going into the second half.
The Heart only improved after the interval, scoring five after the break, including a rare goal from keeper Peter Tamburrino, who drop-kicked the ball into an empty net after Aaron Yu left his post in the Hume goal.
