Series Futsal Australia has handed out eight Series Futsal Australian licences and is planning to start a full blown Futsal National League in mid 2020.

The Eight Licences were handed out to Series Futsal Club owners for a two season period and will be revisited thereafter.

A curtain raiser will see both men & women participating in the 2019 SFA held in Melbourne over three days October 11-13th, 2019.

Licences were handed to the following Clubs

1. West Coast Tigers
2. Melbourne Lions
3. Adelaide Panthers
4. Brisbane Heart
5. Canberra Warriors
6. Darwin Wolves 7. Sydney Blues
8. Hobart Knights

The mens will have all eight teams participating in the 2019 curtain raiser, with Group A and Group B standings, whilst the women will have five in their group with everyone playing each other twice.

Our partnership continues with AKU team wear who are the official partner and supplier of all team, officials and supporting kits.

“These are the first steps for a week in week out Australian Futsal Series (Australian League) with the best players money can attract”.
We have a number of new features to launch in 2020 including a purpose built Series Futsal Facility that will resemble more a movie studio then a typical sports facility”

Series Futsal Australia will be held in October 11-13th 2019 in Melbourne and will be the launching pad for a full blown National league to commence in 2020.

The 2020 Australian Series will be held over a fourteen round period with both men and women competing for national glory.

History

Series Futsal Australia was first held in April 2012 and was originally called the Futsal Oz Australian Futsal League (FAFL).

The first tournament was played only by the men with players from around Australia, representing all five Australian mainland states. Women followed in 2013 and has been going from strength to strength.

Previously, Series Futsal Australia (formerly FAFL) had been played in Melbourne in one of the three world-class futsal specific stadiums of Futsal Oz, Brunswick, Mount Evelyn and Thomastown Futsal Stadiums.
