Frano Saric (Altona Knights FC):

Although his Altona side suffered defeat in a penalty shootout, he made it as difficult as possible for Carlton Heart to redeem themselves from a 3-0 deficit. #Ridiculous saves, an assist to his name and a great showing of leadership allowed him to make the cut.

Andre Caro (Pascoe Vale FC):

The heart behind Pascoe Vale’s potential league-deciding victory over star-studded counterparts Moreland, Andre Caro put on a clinic exemplifying why he is still considered as one of the top players in the league. With two goals under his belt for the match, and being the decisive man of the match, Caro undoubtedly makes the case to be a part of the squad.

Arturo Garzon Diaz (Carlton Heart FC):

Even when his side were looking at defeat, Arturo Diaz was firing on all cylinders, solidifying himself as the main threat for Altona to deal with throughout the whole game. His performance was impactful in the first half, but it was the second half that saw him notch three goals emphatically to take the game into penalties, where his side would eventually win thanks to his heroics.

Scott Rogan (Fitzroy FC):

Although teammates Josh Allen, Tyler Garner and Jimmy Soufis were all influential in Fitzroy’s hard-fought victory over Campbellfield, it was Scott Rogan who was a standout performer. Rogan found himself assisting a well-orchestrated counterattack to equalise early, and scored two very important second half goals, one to take the lead and one to extend it. A man of the match performance allows Fitzroy’s main man into the squad.

Abdulkadir Mohamed (Regent FC):

After seeing his team go down early to a hungry Wolves’ side, Abdulkadir Mohamed was the catalyst in Regent’s eventual victory, smelling blood at every opportunity. Mohamed acted as a menace against the Wolves as he capitalised on his opponent’s errors, firing a hattrick of fine finishes. He was faced with Wolves’ star goalkeeper Billy Atik but didn’t lack composure as three solo goals that led to Regent’s eventual win in penalties validated his inclusion into the squad.
