AARON YU INJURY: Former SFV winner suffers serious injury as Pascoe Vale look to close in on league title.

Pascoe Vale’s number 1 Aaron Yu has suffered a ruptured achilles and has seen his incredible season be cut short.

It is unsure as to what exactly caused the rupture, but it occurred after Yu attempted to accelerate for the ball rather quickly. He immediately hit the ground clutching at his injury with his left foot clearly numb.

The injury couldn’t be more poorly timed as he appeared to be at the peak of his game whilst his side sat three points clear at the top of the table with three rounds remaining.

The 25 year old has been in scintillating form this season playing a highly influential role in his side maintaining the lowest amount of goals conceded in the league.

The lions are closing in on their first title in 6 seasons and will now rely on back-up goalkeeper Mohammed Feteiha to prove himself. The former Wolves’ man will need to take his side over the finish line as Moreland chase them from three points behind, but with a better goal difference.

Feteiha has become a main-stay in Series Futsal Victoria, but has struggled to find his feet, transferring from multiple clubs in his search for a first-team role. With all eyes on him, ‘Moey’ will have his chance to prove his supporters right and make his fellow goalkeeper and friend Aaron Yu proud as his side attempts to add the 2019/20 SFV and Clubs Cup to their trophy cabinets.

Tune into the Series Futsal Victoria Facebook page on the 31st of January to see if Feteiha’s Pascoe Vale can topple a dangerous Carlton Heart and maintain their spot on top.
