Reza Behbahani:

As he won his side the penalty shootout to keep them on top of the ladder, Reza Behbahani put on a man of the match performance to be admired as Fitzroy just couldn’t outscore their opponents due to his heroics. Specifically in the first half, Fitzroy seemed to have most of the crucial attacks, but just couldn’t put them away as Behbahani put on a goalkeeping clinic, solidifying a selection into the starting lineup.

Chaaban Rajab:

Although his side fell one goal short to a mighty Moreland side, Chaaban Rajab showed exactly why he is known as the ‘mad dog’ as he fired a ridiculous long shot and a header to keep his side pushing Moreland to the limit. It was a valiant effort from Carlton but specifically Rajab as he went down fighting, making sure he still made it into this week’s team of the week.

Atay Ibrahim:

With one goal, one assist and a great all-round performance, Atay Ibrahim found himself being the deciding factor in his team’s victory over a determined Carlton Heart side. With his solo goal being the late winner keeping his side in the championship race for one last week, Ibrahim makes sure he retrieves his second starter squad selection.

Corey Sewell:

As he finished the match 3-3 against league leaders Pascoe Vale with one goal and one assist and many chances created, Corey Sewell found himself being the major influencer in Fitzroy pushing their opponents to the limit. With his attacking intelligence and countless shots on target to force multiple crucial saves from keeper Reza Behbahani, Sewell makes his way into the selection.

Ubeyde Cicek:

With a ridiculous four goals and two assists to sink Regent FC into the automatic relegation zone, Ubeyde Cicek put on a clinic of relentlessness as he helped his side dominate their opponents 10-2. His determination and precision in the attacking half only made him a necessity into the squad as the man up front.
