Recap
The final game of the night saw a mid table clash between newly promoted Ashburton and Hume. Hume despite being third were level on poing with the top two teams going into the round and a a win would see them stay on level points. Ashburton have started relatively well in their first season back in the Series Futsal top flight, with seven points from their first four games of the season. A win would see them leap frog Hume into third. The first half was a tightly contested affair with clear cut chances few and far between. Both sides traded spells of possession, but seemed to cancel each other out defensively. No one for either side could find the break through, and the scores at the break remained at 0-0 for the first time this season.
The second half saw things open up more as both teams started to press more for the win. Hume eventually opened the scoring with about 15 minutes left in the half, when Moe Matar toe poked the ball into the bottom left corner from outside the area. Soon after Matar turned provider when he set up Ahmed Azzam who finished from the top of the area. Resit Culculoglu was next to score as he was teed up to head home at the back post. Nikola Jurcic was found at the back post to tap home to make it four to all but put the game to bed, even with 10 minutes still to play. Ashburton would finally get on the score sheet through an Amir Behroozi bottom corner finish, but it was too little too late, as Hume wrapped up the three point which sees them stay with Balwyn and Pascoe Vale at the top.
