Recap
The second game of the night saw second placed Pascoe Vale take bottom of the ladder Metropolitan. Metro, who were coming off their first win of the season last week against Carlton, could only field a very weak squad with a number of crucial squad member injured. Pascoe on the other hand were fielding one of their strongest lineups in weeks, with returning star man Lucas Kruel playing his second game back in Series Futsal after his victorious return last week. It was Kruel who opened the scoring in the match, finishing from just outside. It was almost a omen of things to come in the match as Pascoe’s second goal was a Metro own goal, as Andre Caro’s off target shot was deflected in off Salih Sefil. Joao Da Silva was next on the board for Pascoe as he finished from the right side from range. Matheus Maria then converted from a free kick set piece, before picking his second soon after from close range to have his side leading 5-0 at the break.
The second half saw things fall apart for Metro as Pascoe Vale turned the screws to try and close the goal difference gap on Balwyn who sat in first. Thiago Martins got his first of the match early on before Joao Da Siva finished clinically from the edge of the area. Caro flicked home an effort that went off the cross bar before Sofiane Soufi was on hand to tap home from close range as Pascoe started to run away with things. Kruel rifled a shot into the roof of the net from the edge of the area before another piece of misfortune for Metro saw the ball deflect in off Alija Redzepovic for an own goal. Kruel rounded out his hatrick with a top left corner strike from distance, before Martins picked up his second after some more excellent movement and passing from Pascoe. Daniel Cappellaro would finish a cut back into the top right corner, before Kruel had the last laugh, scoring his fourth and Pascoe’s 10th for the half, to wrap up a resounding 15-0 victory.
