Recap
Brunswick’s winning form continued with a second win for the weekend coming over rivals Carlton. The game started well for Brunswick as they found the goals twice in the first five minutes through some great individual efforts by Ruz Roslan. Carlton found a way to stem the bleeding early on and got themselves a foothold in the game. They looked to be well in the game in general play but where unable to hit the scoreboard; whilst there opponents found the back of the net plenty of times. Carlton’s defensive efforts where solid aside from some bad luck leading to own goals late in the half.
The half time break gave Carlton a chance to regroup and it proved to be the catalyst for some good play; with the team coming out well in the second half and finding the back of the net quickly with a good finish from JP Nicholacopoulos from well outside the keepers area. Brunswick where able to respond quickly but Carlton’s new found confidence proved difficult to stop. As the underdogs went on to win the second half four goals to three.
Brunswick comes into their next game with two wins from their last two outings and would hope to keep that form going. Carlton would be hoping to come out in their next fixture in the same fashion as they finished the second half.
