Recap

The first half was back and forward with both teams finding plenty of opportunities to score. Metro played with a lot of aggression to start the game leading to them scoring twice in the first half but the aggression got out of hand as they lost live wire Salih Sefil to a red card. This opened the door for Ashburton who took advantage of the extra man finding four goals in the opening half to go in two goals up at the break.
Metro came out in the second half with more positive play making many attempts on the Ashburton goal. These attempts came to no avail because of some fantastic keeping efforts from Omid Azami. Metro continued their attempts and eventually made a break through, fighting hard to get back into the game and eventually equalizing. The success was short lived as Ashburton found a way to again score. The goal proved to be too much for Metro to overcome.
