Recap
Collingwood came into the game eager to show what they are capable of having only played one game against a Series Futsal team in the futsal oz cup. Fitzroy having made some big moves in the transfer window will be looking to make a stamp on series futsal.
Fitzroy started the better of the two teams with two early goals shocking the unrefined Collingwood side. This wasn’t to be the case for the rest of the game though as Collingwood steady the ship before returning fire towards the end of the first half with their first goal in Series Futsal coming from Jordan Constan.
The second half started in a deadlock with both teams unable to break through each others defence. Fitzroy began to take control of the game as the half wore on with chance after chance being denied. This was until a break through came late in the half and another quick goal to follow. As the buzzer rang to signal the end of the game the score line read four goals to one in Fitzroy’s favor.
Collingwood despite the loss will be happy with their first effort and will look to build on it as the season goes by. Fitzroy will be happy that they where able to win the game in such emphatic fashion as they look to set up for a title tilt.
