Recap
Pascoe Vale remain on top of the Series Futsal ladder undefeated. Brunswick lost their perfect record in a tight game against Hume last week.
The game started at a blistering pace with three goals coming in the first five minutes. Two to Pascoe Vale and one to Brunswick. Brunswick where impressive in responding to challenges Pascoe Vale set. Going goal for goal for most of the first half. The pressure that both teams put on each other was immense and the response to that pressure was equally solid. There was periods of the half in which either team threatened to blow the game open. the half time score line was in Pascoe Vale’s favor at four goals to three.
The second half started with a rampant Brunswick team. They put the pressure on Pascoe Vale with great attacks that threatened to open up the ladder leaders. If it wasn’t for fantastic efforts from the first game goal keeper Ahmad Rahimi Pascoe Vale would have been in serious trouble. From all the effort Brunswick only managed one goal in the first 20 minutes of the half. The pressure was on Pascoe Vale to respond if they allowed Brunswick to attack so freely they may not be let off. Pascoe Vale’s captain Andre Caro was well aware of this and stepped up to left his team scoring a fantastic long shot before going on to score twice more before the end of the game, removing any doubt that Pascoe Vale would win the game.
