Hume’s 2016/2017 campaign has been perfect so far without anything but a win by their name. For Collingwood it has been a tough start having only won a single match.
The first half went as expected with Hume coming out of the blocks quickly to establish an early lead. The half was absolutely dominated by Hume who had all the possession and looked dangerous around goal. With Collingwood only having one or two opportunities on goal Hume looked set to close the game out in the first half but some poor finishing proved damaging. As the half time buzzer sounded Hume led 3 goals to none but the score line should have been further in their favor.
The second half had an unlikely start as Collingwood managed to steal a goal against the run of play. With a Hume mistake in front of their goal proving costly and giving Mirko Djermanovic an opportunity to volly home a good goal. The Collingwood players where buoyed by the goal but the excitement soon turned back to disappointment as Hume responded with another goal. The Collingwood players frustration was obvious as they faced another defeat. The game continued in Hume’s favor as they took out a comfortable win to remain top of the table.
