Recap
Collingwood’s season has been on a downward trajectory since they managed their first win of the season. They currently sit second from the bottom with their only win coming against bottom placed Hume. Pascoe Vale remain equal top having won every game they have played. They will be hoping to use this game as a percentage booster.
The first half was a slug fest that saw both teams remain scoreless following the very defensive style of play that Collingwood had taken. The Pascoe Vale attacks where continually repelled by great defence by the Collingwood team. Even the Collingwood goal keeper wasn’t getting his hands too dirty as his defenders did a great job of holding the Pascoe Vale attacks at bay. As the half came to a finish the game remained scoreless.
The second half was an equally somber affair as neither team could find a way to put the ball in the back of the net. Pascoe Vale continued to attack but Collingwood’s defence remained steadfast. The breakthrough finally came as Pascoe Vale’s star player and captain Andre Caro manged to score a fantastic goal to break the deadlock. This proved to steep a mountain for Collingwood to climb as they continued to defend fantastically but couldn’t take any of their chances. The game ended with Pascoe Vale winning one goal to nil.
