Last week Fitzroy got away with murder against Balwyn as they got over the line in a penalty shoot out after a 2-2 scoreline. For Hume it was another close win over a top team as they sunk a hard working Brunswick to remain in second spot on the table. This match could go either way as both team have a long list of star players.

From the first minute there was some real feeling in the contest but Hume proved to have the extra little bit to get them the win.

Hume was led brilliantly by captain Nejdett Sahin as they played a brilliant passing game to overcome the hard fighting Fitzroy. Goal keeper Rahmaan Balla was almost unstoppable between the sticks as he repelled every shot that came at him.

With a long list of star players missing Fitzroy weren’t able to bring their best despite this another close loss to a top team will frustrate manager Fernando De Moraes. With many close losses to top teams the team will be looking to get some more wins over the teams at the top to prove they can match it with the best.

Hume will be happy with their win as they came in with a clear plan and stuck to it. They now sit comfortably in second place on the table.
