Pascoe Vale played a brilliant game to overcome Fitzroy last week and the game against the lowly Metropolitan will be a welcome change for the Pascoe Vale players who have played some tough games over the past few weeks. Despite this the Pascoe Vale players will have to be at their best to get past the hard working Metro who are more than capable of causing an upset. This game will also mark the milestone of 300 games for Alija Redzepovic a big congratulations to Alija from everybody at Futsal Oz.
The first half went completely to script as Pascoe Vale played brilliant Futsal as they moved the ball around their opposition with ease and opened up opportunity after opportunity for their targets. It was a goal fest to start the game as Pascoe Vale quickly opened up a three goal lead. From that point on Metro never looked a chance as the momentum Pascoe Vale built up looked unbeatable. The domination from Pascoe Vale continued and at half time the game looked close to over as Pascoe Vale held a four goal to zero advantage.
The second half saw a more determined Metro come to play as the Pascoe Vale players took their foot off the accelerator. This opened up an opportunity for Metro which they took to breathe some life into the game. Conceding a goal seemed to refocus the Pascoe Vale players who began to attack hard again. Once they found their rhythm again Pascoe Vale began scoring freely and opened up a bigger advantage with four more goals to finish the half. Pascoe Vale ran out easy winners with a six goal advantage. They will remain table leaders for another week.
