Metro managed a huge win against Collingwood to get their 2016/17 season back on track and they will be hoping to carry on the winning form as they face up to one of the leagues best teams in Balwyn. Balwyn are coming off a disappointing loss against Pascoe Vale and will be hoping to turn their form around with a win here.
Metro looked switched on and hungry from the first minute of the clash with Balwyn as they put a second win on the board in one weekend. Following the one win they had from the first 11 rounds of the season this looks to be a momentum changing weekend.
All the stars fired up for Metro as they looked dangerous around goals and in even more promising signs extremely solid in defence something that has let them down many times this season. Mo Alghorabi scored a miraculous scissor in the second half and was all round in great form in attack for Metro. Nabi Tuna played his best game for Metro between the sticks as he stopped everything that came at him.
Balwyn will be furious with their performance as this loss will put their title chances in jeopardy. As the team came with no enthusiasm to play and where beaten by a more willing team. This loss will be on the mind of the Balwyn players across the Christmas break.
Metro will be delighted as they go into the break with three wins by there name. This has done a massive job of lifting them out of relegation danger.
