Pascoe Vale for the third time this season are able to hold off a fighting Fitzroy outfit. The ladder leaders again showing just how good they can be.

Pascoe managed to establish an early two goal lead through high pace counter attacking play. The lead proved enough as Pascoe Vale switched their mindset from attack to defence to hold off Fitzroy as they pushed for equalising goals.

Lucas Vaz showed his best with a goal early after a great set play and a goal late through a pacey counter attack move. He was not alone as Alex Boro put in a man of the match performance between the sticks, even pinching a goal late as Fitzroy was exposed playing fifth man.

For Pascoe Vale the win leaves them outright top of the ladder following Hume’s defeat earlier in the night.

Fitzroy on the other hand will be extremely disappointed to again fall short against their arch rivals.
