Following a run of six losses the struggling Ashburton have found their way back onto the winners list after dispatching a luckless Collingwood team.

The win was huge for Ashburtons hope of holding onto a Series Futsal season into the 2017 season as they managed to overcome the other relegation battlers Collingwood. They now sit three points clear of last place.

The return of some big name players proved to be the difference as the Ashburton team clicked quickly. Ashburton will be hoping to build on the win as they look to force some upset wins to remain off the bottom of the table.

The accolades have to go to long time target Rasoul Bahmani as he proved how dangerous he can be in front of goal. Bahmani used his height to full advantage as he found his way to win many strong aerial balls.

For Collingwood the loss will leave their season in tatters as they now face the very real prospect of relegation. Needing to overcome some tough opposition in then coming weeks, Collingwoods future in series futsal looks limited.
