Carlton have kept their undefeated streak alive with a win over Fitzroy on penalties.

Carlton took the lead early in the first half through Atay Ibrahim, but their joy was short-lived with Alistair Dunlop equalised.

Dunlop turned provider moments later as he threaded a pass through to Llewelyn Stone, who calmly converted the opportunity to give Fitzroy the lead.

Carlton captain Chaaban Rajab scored a free-kick from behind the halfway line to put the Heart back on level terms, before Atay Ibrahim gave them the lead on the other side of the half-time break.

Dunlop popped up again for Fitzroy, scoring his second to equalise and send the game to a penalty shootout.

Carlton came out on top in the shootout, scoring two out of their three penalties.
