With a new face in the managerial position, Moreland couldn’t have started Spiro Kargas’ coaching stint any better, crowning the occasion with a hard earned victory against Hume.

Through poised team play, Moreland took a handy two-nil lead coming into the half-time break, but it was the second half that saw an onslaught of goals come for each side.

Moreland found themselves six-two up in the second half and they appeared to be in cruise control, but two goals from fly keeper Frano Saric brought them back within two goals and made things interesting again.

But a controversial foul call against Hume that resulted in a ten-meter penalty was subsequently converted by man of the match Adam Cooper to put the result beyond doubt.

Cooper was instrumental in leading his team to a strong start under new management and helped keep the team calm when Hume threatened a comeback.
