Recap
Next game of the night saw a must win game for both sides as Balwyn looked to close the three point gap on their rivals Kingston. In what was a tight first half neither side could muster many clear cut chances with the game standing very even going into the half time break locked at 0-0.
The second half was a case of the same as neither side wanted to give an inch, though there were more chances being created as the game wore on. Finally we had our opener with Diarna Cartwright firing in a long range effort from a side ball making it 1-0 to Balwyn. Balwyn had more chances to kill off the game as did Kingston to equalise, there were more goals in this one it was just a case of when and who would find the net. Finally Kingston drew level as Emma Runnolls cut one back to Michelle Levy who took a touch and an eternity to put the ball into the gaping net. Though she did and it was level. A frantic final few minutes lay ahead as both sides had chances to win it, hitting posts and fluffing counter attacks and we would be going into a shootout. The scoring woes continued in the shootout for both as Kingston were the only scorers in the shootout to win it 1-0 and take home the points.
