Our next game was set to be the game of the night with defending champions Moreland taking on a red hot Pascoe Vale side eager to continue closing the gap between themselves and the top. A cagey opening like the match previous saw few chances created from either side as neither look like they wanted to concede and it showed as they were level at 0-0 going into the half time break.

It didn’t take long after the restart for Moreland to break the deadlock as Amy Kane’s initial effort rebounded to Rebecca Saber who made no mistake in finishing the opportunity to give her side a deserved lead. From there it was more of the same with Moreland looking to shut up shop and Pascoe struggling to make clear cut chances. The times where the Moreland defence was breached stood Danica Petreska in goal who made a couple of fine saves to ensure her side would make it back to back victories as they begin to get their season back on track.
