The final game of the night saw second place Fitzroy take on sixth place and high flying Preston. Based on current form the two sides were in for a tough contest and a win for either would have huge significance. It was Fitzroy who opened the scoring thanks to a thunderbolt from Evangelia Parthimos, before a toe poke from Elaina Vatcky doubled the score. Ili Jakab would add a third late in the half to have Fitzroy leading 3-0 at the break and have Preston right on the back foot.

The second half was all Fitzroy as they dominated from started to finish piling on a further six goals with Ili Jakab completing her hat trick and the pick of the bunch a fantastic turn from Dharma Georgi before she finished it off to round out a convincing display from Fitzroy which puts them clear into second place.
