Recap
Next up was a must win game for both Preston and Pascoe Vale both locked on 18 points with the winner to take a top four position, all be it on goal difference. Preston struck first when a perfectly worked 1-2 play saw mercurial player Stacey Papadopoulos finish to make it 1-0. they were soon two ahead and it was again Papadopoulos with the goal as Preston had Pascoe on the back foot early. Theresa Borges would soon chyme in with a goal and Preston lead 3-0 and looked to be cruising to victory. Pascoe who were without top scorer Zarli Vandenberg were finding it hard to score goals but did peg one back through Anita Odd on the rebound to go into the half time break trailing 3-1.
Preston opened the second half on the front foot and scored again from who else but Stacey Papadopoulos as she completed her hat trick and had Preston in complete control. Pascoe stuck to their game however and continued to grind away at a comeback and pulled one back through Priscilla Ribas to keep the game as a contest alive. Pascoe again found the net when Marcela Marques scored and they were pushing hard in the final moments to find an equaliser. Sadly for them it was not to be as a corner found its way to Maneesha Patterson in the middle who made no mistake in finishing and sealed a big three points for Preston.
