Recap
Next up saw a resurgent Moreland attempt to keep up their winning run as they faced off against an ever improving Thomastown side. Moreland would strike first very early on through Melissa Missailids which spelled warning signs for Thomastown. However they did not let it faze them as they pulled level through a goal from Ella Sowinska. Kristen Stensholt would restore the advantage striking home from a corner before another two from Missailidis opened up a 4-1 lead. Thomastown would respond through Ana Carolina to keep themselves in the game, but a fourth from Missailidis and a single to Daniella Galluccio would ensure a 6-2 half time lead for Moreland.
The early signs for Moreland looked as if they would continue the run and make it a rout as Missailidis cut one back to Rebecca Saber who tapped into an empty net. From there it looked like Moreland took their foot off the pedal and Thomastown found their defensive shape resulting in the half finishing with just the one goal. It was another good for Moreland who continue to climb the table.
