Next up saw second placed Fitzroy take on sixth placed Balwyn looking to continue its winning form. In a rather dull first half Fitzroy dominated possession but neither side could find the breakthrough as we went into the half time break locked at 0-0

The second half was the same story with Fitzroy bossing possession and Balwyn content with sitting back. Fitzroy broke the deadlock when Elaina Vatcky found Bec Catterwell on a 2 on 1 and Catterwell finished to open the scoring. It soon became two when a lovely ball from Vatcky found Sarah Richardson who cut it back for Ili Jakab to finish off. Some more good play as a target from Catterwell saw Vatcky run through and finish at Fitzroy all but sealed the points. A long throw from Molly Boorman found Catterwell who headed home for a 4-0 lead before a one-two saw Vatcky grab her second goal of the game and all three points for Fitzroy.
