The next game on the card saw Preston who sat in eighth looking to leapfrog their opponents Balwyn who were on the same points. Preston opened the scoring through Hannah Delo which was the perfect start. It didn’t last long as Rachel Hurlimann equalised before she added her second of the contest to put her side in front. Stacey Papadopoulos would find Delo who finished again to level the scores before Papadopoulos got a goal of her own to have Preston leading 3-2 at the half time break.

The second half was a fairly even contest with Preston edging the half 4-3 and the game 7-5 with Theresa Borges grabbing a brace as well as goals from Laura Baron and Papadopoulos cancelling out a further two from Hurlimann which took her tally to four and a single to Marie Pham sealing an all important three points for Preston.
