The final game of the regular season saw Kingston Royals face off against Balwyn. With this tie also meaning little to the end of season ladder both sides were preparing for next weeks Futsal Oz Cup. In a tight first half Kingston edged their opponents thanks to goals from Louise McMullen and Melku Johnstone cancelled out Diarna Cartwrights strike to have the royals leading by a slender goal.

The second half saw Kingston sit back playing their usual defensive style as they seemed content with the lead they had. Midway through the half the royals added to their advantage as Shakira Van Der Lee’s strike was saved only to be finished off by Clare Longdon to put the result beyond doubt and give Kingston a good boost going into the Cup next week, Balwyn went down but not without a fight and will look to cause some upsets in the cup starting next wednesday.
