Recap

Carlton have come from behind with one second left on the clock to equalise against Balwyn, before going on to win the game on penalties.

Carlton scored the only goal of the first half through Ernie Simsek, but Balwyn stormed back into the game in the second half with  a hat-trick from Michele Salvi, two of those goals coming direct from set-pieces.

A goal from Abdirazak Ahmed with less than five minutes to play gave Carlton a sign of life, but as the clock ticked down it looked more and more unlikely that they would find an equaliser.

But in the final play of the game, Atay Ibrahim rose at the back-post to meet a throw in and nod home the latest of late equaliser as the siren sounded.

Carlton were the more clinical in the penalty shootout, with only Salvi scoring his spot-kick for Balwyn, while Simsek and Chaaban Rajab successfully converted their penalties for Carlton.
